Gears revving

Whenever I get into speeds of fifty plus mph the revs have a mind of their own. It revs up to 5000 rpm and takes ages to change through the gears, sounds like the engine is going to blow even when I release my foot from gas it still revs high. Does anyone know what this is please?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a throttle actuator that is going out but to be sure we should run the comes to see what comes up,
