My truck has a problem gearing down sometimes, or at least that is what it seems like. It feels like I'm starting off in 3rd gear from a stop. But this isn't always, and when this happens sometimes, not all, a light will come on . Slip? Something. I looked it up in the manual and it says to reset it by shutting off the motor and let it sit for a bit and that should help.???
It will usually happen a few miles of getting started. Sometimes, it will fix itself by shutting down the motor, but it's temporary. The problem it's self is intermitten.
Some backyard mechanic suggested that it may be a sensor of a sore? Instead of a transmission problem?
