Intermittent gearbox not responding

When engaging reverse gear doesn't respond work. Sometimes when it's cold it responds well. But when the system becomes hot It can backup. What could be the problem?

Hi,

First check the basics. Make sure the transmission fluid is clean and full. If it is, here is a link that explains how to retrieve diagnostic trouble codes. See if any are saved.
