Hello,
I wanted to know when I should change my gearbox oil and what type of oil to use? My car's mileage is listed above.

VW recommend that this transmission is sealed for life. But at 150,000 Km's it would be a good time to change the oil. Doing a search I come up with Castrol Syntrax Universal Plus 75W-90, 2.7 liters capacity. I would contact your dealer to confirm that this is the correct oil, as some transmissions really do require the manufactures oil to work at there best.

Get the oil from a dealer and if you need, post back and I will find the details for drain and refill. Unfortunately all our data is for cars sold in the US, Polo from what I can see was never sold there, what country are you from?

I am from Albania.
Yeah, I have noticed this, because I have searched in some US car related websites and there was no information about VW Polo's.

I would definitely contact a local dealer as if you do have extreme cold where you live, this may effect the type of oil used as well.
