i cant get my car in gear

i was driving along stoped at a roundabout tried to put car in first gear made a grinding noise and had difficulty geting it into gear . now i cant get it in any gear but reverse, when in reverse making a grinding noise

your shifter may be hung up you might be able to get it back in yourself. check the clutch adjust ment as well. also try shifting without engine running, if it won't shift like that then it's hung up an you'll just have to play with it to get it back to where it's supposed to go. If yo have cables going to trans check those for being broken.
