I put my gears in to drive or reverse it won't go it won't move the car won't move. Gear shifter or transmission, maybe?

When shifting the transmission into drive or reverse the car does not move?

Does the transmission grind when putting it back into park? If so, you have a broken CV axle. If not, you should check the transmission fluid level and condition. I can tell you these cars have a CVT transmission which burns up the steel belt inside which causes this problem, so the transmission will need to be rebuilt FYI. If the fluid is burnt, then you know the transmission will need to be replaced. If you have a check engine light on, we need to run the codes.
