Gear shifter will not shift out of park?

Hello,

This could be due to a faulty shift interlock solenoid.
There is a way to over-ride it.
You will see a small cover on the base of the shifter, remove it and press down with a small screwdriver while the engine is off. This will allow you to put it in neutral and start the engine.
