Gear shift best way to reattach?

The knob on the gear shift comes off in my hand when shifting gears. What is the best way to reattach the knob to keep it from coming off?

Yep, most of the time you will need a new knob, the threads get worn out and will not hold, they have knobs pretty cheap on Amazon. Please upload an image or a short video in your response, so I can see what's going on so I can be sure to help you correctly.
