Transmission not shifting properly

The car won't go into any gear the shifter goes from park to one there nothing in between.

Hi, my name is Dan.

If the transmission is not engaging at all, I would check the transmission fluid on the stick with the engine running first. If the fluid is low, the transmission cannot function. Have you checked for any diagnostic trouble codes yet?
Is there any noises when trying to move? Any whining?
