My van was selecting all the gears normally and the transmission fluid is in it's normal filled level. I stopped to do some shopping only to get into the car and started the engine and the whole gears are selecting but the van is not moving. It seemed as if the gears are in neutral as I throttle the van but no movement.
The mechanic checked the car and told me my gears have problems and that I have to loose down the gearbox and repair it. But an auto electrician used his computer to check it and told me its the starting switch sensor on top of the gear. I changed it but the problem persist.
Please what should I do? Is it truly a gear problem? Should I go ahead and drop the gear box for repairs?
Please I need your advice. .
