Gear Oil change

I have small question
my problem That I'm so worry if I have to change my car' gear oil or no? I bought my car @ 160000 KM and now it's 250000 KM but I did not change the gear oil yet. And I'm worry because I heard that if I change it while my car about 250000 it will cause problems in my gear and they advised me not to change it.

So, I went to Chevrolet agent in my country and they told me OK they will change it but without any warranty in case any problems came out after.

and another problem there is message telling that check our powertrain, can you tell me what could be?

What is the code? Are you having issues with the trans? Yes, I would change it.

the message on my car screen is telling only "check power train" and there is no code?

Ok I will go forward to change my transmission gear oil as per your kind advise. But I forgot to tell that my old car crown Victoria ford when I changed the transmission gear oil it got down and damaged. So please advise and confirm if there is special way to change the transmission gear oil of my current lumina 2005 @ 250000 km distance

Nope just drop the pan and change the oil and the filter
