Gear linkage

I lost the key and need to push the car over to the side. Is this the gear linkage? Do I just unscrew this and move linkage into gear to move it?

Yes, Deaconrey you're right. Remove the shift cable and then you can move the shifter (on the transmission) by hand. Remember that two clicks of the shifter puts the transmission in neutral.
