Gear lever stuck on "N" will not go to "D" or "R"

The gear lever is stuck on "N". When the engine is switched on, there is a clicking sound on one of the sensors. The lever can not slide to drive "D " or Reverse "R". The van Is stuck, but I can start the engine.

How can I resolve this? I am in the game park stuck with vehicle.

Hi ANDREW,

It sounds like the shifter has had a problem and need to be taken apart to see what has broken inside. You might be able to get under the van and shift the transmission from there to get it home but make sure someone has their foot on the brake before you get under the car.
