My gear cable seems to have broken and I cannot move my car out of park, not even to neutral so I can push it into my garage. How can I resolve this?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

It sounds like you have your hands full. At this point, the cable needs replaced. However, if you need to just place the transmission in neutral so you can move the car, simply apply the parking brake, safely lift the front of the vehicle and manually shift the transmission lever from park. I have attached pictures for you so you know what you are looking for. Additionally, they should help when you replace the cable because they indicate how it is attached.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
