Hello,

Toyota doesn't give instructions for the removal or installation of the fuel tank. But I have included an exploded diagram of the fuel tank and associated parts for you to refer to when removing and installing the fuel tank. Follow these general guidelines and you should be okay:

1) Always wear safety equipment and eye protection. Make sure your vehicle is safely supported on jack stands.
2) Drain the fuel tank if possible. An empty tank is a lot lighter and easier to deal with than a full one.
3) Support the fuel tank with a floor jack preferably, but a jack of some type.
4)Take off all the components that attach to or hold up the fuel tank, leaving the two mounting straps for last.
5) Undo the mounting straps and lower the tank, removing the hoses and wire connectors.
6 Installation is the opposite of removal.

Please let us know how it turns out, or you need any additional help.

Thanks,
Alex
