Hi,
We need to inspect all the fuel tank vents including the vent line that is next to the fill neck. See the attachment.
We then need to disconnect the fill neck and make sure there are no obstructions in it. This is the main reason for a pump to shut off. The reason it is shutting off is because the fuel vapor is getting close enough to the nozzle that it trips it off. If the vents are clear then the vapor is able to escape while it is filling. If not then the vapor backs up in the tank and then up the filler neck. Also, if there is an obstruction then the fuel just backs up the filler neck and shuts the pump off.
