Gas spillage spurt out everywhere?

I went to the gas station today and I began pumping and it seemed fine up until I got close to 4 gallons of gas and the nozzle seemed to spurt out everywhere. I talked to the gas attendant and he told me the nozzle was previously faulty and was recently fixed. I’m concerned if this will affect my filler neck or gas tank by it spurting out like this.
