Gas pump thud?

About a month ago I had a situation where mid pump the nozzle sprayed everywhere and it wasn’t the first occurrence at this station and I was advised to “put the nozzle a little deeper into filler neck” as some pumps and stations have different fuel pumping speeds, and that it wouldn’t affect my filler neck or evap system ”. So for the first time since I pumped gas I noticed after pumping , a thud noise occurred and it stopped but when I pulled the nozzle out a tad, it resumed . Is this normal? Here’s a video . That sounds like the nozzle’s automatic shutoff activating, accompanied by a thud from the nozzle/filler-neck area. If pulling the nozzle back slightly allowed normal filling and this only happens at one station or pump, it is usually caused by the nozzle position or that pump’s delivery rate—not damage to the vehicle.
