GAS PUMP STOPS ACTING AS IF THE TANK IS FULL

WHEN FILLING MY GAS TANK THE GAS PUMP ACT AS IF THE TANK IS FULL WHEN IT ACTUALLY IS NOT. THIS CAUSES ME TO CONTINUE PUMPING UNTIL I REACH FULL VERSUS THIS BEING AN AUTOMATIC PROCESS.

For fuel to enter the tank, air needs to exit. This is done through a venting process. Check vent to see if there is an obstruction or damage.
