When I first put my foot on the gas pedal there is a pop that I feel on the gas pedal. It does it each time I pull off from a stop sign or light. Why does it do that one pop before I drive?

Hi,

It could be the pedal, cable, or something on the throttle body.

Here is what I need you to do. I attached two pics. The first shows a cable bracket that the throttle cable goes through. Next, is the cable at the throttle body. First make sure the cable is secure in the bracket. If it is, disconnect the cable at the throttle body and see if the pop is gone. If it is, then we will know it's at the throttle body. If it is still popping, then we have to disconnect the cable at the throttle pedal. If it's gone, then it's the cable. If it isn't gone, then it is in the pedal.

Let me know what you find or if you have questions.

Take care,
Joe
