my car is leaking gas I can smell it and so do others. it has been doing it now for about a month and I keep putting gas in and wasting my money. I did try to put something underneath the car when I stopped it evaporated too quickly to tell where it was leaking from. what should I do? I don't have very much money for mechanic, but I have some friends that may be able to help me.

We need to start with finding the general area that this is leaking. Clearly this is a large safety issue not only for you and your belongings but those around you as well. If your vehicle catches fire, that can damage anything it is around as well.

Let me know if this is the rear of the vehicle, front, along one of the sides, and we can start to narrow it down as to what it could be. Thanks

Fuel tank leaks can be tough to find if they come from the top of the tank, especially from the fuel pump area. I've included two pictures of common failure points from this particular vehicle.
