Hi,
Have you checked under the vehicle to see if there are any leaks? There are steel lines that can corrode and fail. Also, the fuel-sending unit at the top of the tank can leak. Additionally, there can be a leak under the hood from a fuel injector or the fuel rail.
Here is what I need to know: Do you only smell this when driving or can you notice it when the vehicle is parked? Can you tell approximately where is the stronger odor? For example, is it from the rear, center, or does it seem to come from the engine compartment? Please keep in mind, any leak is dangerous, If it is under the hood, it is more so. So, we need to find the problem.
Let me know as much as you can.
