Gas Cap light is on?

I had a required echeck two days ago and now my Check Fuel Cap light is on. I checked the fuel cap and it seems fine! I didn't drive it anywhere for the two days. Any suggestions?

Hello, this is the light that comes on when an EVAP code is stored in the memory. It may be best to let an auto parts store check the codes for free or you can get a code reader on Amazon for around $20. Did you check the o-ring on the fuel cap? It can become cracked and brittle, even flatten out over years of use. Sometimes it is worth replacing for the minimal cost alone.
