Fusible link was blown as soon as I put a new one on it blew. What might be causing this?

Obviously, it's a short circuit somewhere in the circuits it supplies power. It's a little tricky but you have to isolate the cause. Most of the time a short that serious is caused by bare wires grounding out somewhere.

Thanks. It's the main one coming of the battery, could it possibly be from a bad cigarette lighter from charging electronic devices?

No, there are smaller fuses for that. The links feed big stuff like the ignition switch and headlights.
