Hi,

First, this model isn't offered in the US, but I will try my best to help.

I researched as much as possible to find a schematic for the charging system and found nothing. Is the vehicle no longer charging? Also, have you checked the wiring at the alternator to make sure there are no wiring or connection issues? Usually, the light is triggered via a low voltage signal from a designated wire at the alternator.

I can also tell you that on other 2009 VW vehicles there is a signal from the alternator to the vehicle electrical control module and then, via the can-bus, a signal is sent to the instrument cluster.

Do me a favor. Under the hood, check to see if fuse 6 is for the instrument panel. Also, let me know what is happening.

Let me know.
