fuse keeps blowing

40 amp fuse on battery keeps blowing and won't start. The electronic fault on dash keeps coming up.

Hi Terry,

It sounds like you have a short the system which will probably be a bad alternator, what happens is the field winding gets weak and shorts out to the alternator case. Please disconnect the alternator wiring and replace the fuse, do not allow the wires to touch ground, please get back to me.
