ASD fuse blows when attempting to start the vehicle, preventing it from starting

Every time I turn it over to start it the # ASD fuse blows! Won't start!

Just want to confirm you are blowing fuse 37 in the IPM, which feeds the ASD relay.

If this is the case, then I have seen this a number of times where the coil is shorted and blowing the fuse.

What I would do is unplug the coil and crank the engine.

Clearly the engine is not going to start, but if the fuse stops blowing then the coil is the issue.

I am attaching the wiring diagram below to show this, but if the fuse still blows we are going to have to move onto something else on the ASD, which could be an injector, but the coil being shorted will draw a lot more than 25 amps, so it makes the most sense.
