Same problem I had. I bought a used. Ignition with key installed it. It wouldn't start car but electrical and alarm work. Took it to dealer they say it cant be sinked. And I have to put new switch + key. Or they do for 995.00 dollars. Felling like I'm. Being taken. Is there any way to bypass the module and get this car to start. Or can I remove whole computer and just straight wire. Car. Old school way. All this new computers in cars is a rip off. Next their going to tell me I need new computer. Help! ! Need another solution. And if they can program new ignition why cant they reprogram new used one.

No, there is no way to bypass the security system. Don't call it a rip off. It's was put there to protect your car from theft.

I believe they should be able to reprogram the transponder in your key

There are some auto electric shops out there that have the equipment to do this but there are not a lot of them. You will have to check around.
