Fuse blowing

Fuse #102 blows as soon as I try starting the truck.

Fuse 102 on the the F-150 is the ignition feed power. It feeds power the ignition switch on the steering column. From the way you worded your question I am assuming that you can put the key in and turn it on to the run position where the radio comes on and all, but as soon you try to start it blows the fuse correct? If this is the case, then it sounds like you have a short circuit on the start circuit somewhere. A common problem with F-150's of that year is a short in the wiring that goes from the Ignition Switch, through a junction box, to the transmission range sensor. Look for a chafed wire shorting to ground somewhere along the way.

Here are the power distribution wiring diagrams for your truck you can see the floor shifter, shift interlock and instrument cluster can be the only thing causing it unplug them one at the time to see which one it is (have fuses ready).
