There is a leak in the area of the pump, it is not possible to perceive what exact part it is but it is the only place where the water runs. The tank is filled and when it is off it drips but once the car is on the water is more continuous than comes out.

Hi,

Since the water pump is driven by the timing belt, we need to make sure it is faulty before replacing it. It is a lot more work that a traditional job.

Here is what I recommend. Go to a local parts store such as AutoZone and rent a cooling system pressure tester. Follow the directions in this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/radiator-pressure-test

The link above explains the procedure for pressure testing the cooling system. Do this when the engine is cold. Once pressure is applied, the leak should become more noticeable.

If you look below, I attached an exploded view of the water pump. I highlighted possible places it could be leaking from. See if you can locate or narrow does the location of the leak and let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
