How to remove the fuel tank sensor?

Hi,

I believe you are referring to the fuel tank pressure sensor. If that is incorrect, let me know.

Here are the directions for replacement. You will need to remove the fuel tank because the sensor is mounted at the top of the fuel module. The attached picture correlates with the directions.

FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

NOTE: Numbers in text correspond to numbered components in image.

1. Relieve the system fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Release.
2. Drain fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining.
3. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Assembly.
4. Remove the electrical connector from the fuel tank vapor pressure sensor.
5. Remove the fuel tank vapor pressure sensor (1) from modular fuel sender.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Install the new fuel tank vapor pressure sensor (1) to modular fuel sender.
2. Install the electrical connector to fuel tank vapor pressure sensor
3. Install the fuel tank.
4. Refill tank.
5. Install the negative battery cable.
