Do I need special tools to remove fuel lines?

I don't think you need a special tool other than a fuel line tool. I attached the common ones below. I would just get a standard set and one of them will be the right size.

Will a 3.4 fuel pump work on a 3.6 Equinox?

Can I just change the pump from another assembly? because salvage yard broke off fuel lines from the pump I bought.

The pump for the 3.4L has different pressure specs than then 3.6L. You would probably be okay, but it doesn't appear it is the exact same part so I am not sure it will just go in and plug in.

Also, what do you mean can you change the pump from another assembly? You mean from another vehicle? As long as it is the same pump then you should be fine.

I'm not getting power to thepump I put in I checked fuses and switched relay but test light show no power,

Okay. If you look at this wiring diagram you will see that the fuse feeds the relay which is a direct feed to the pump. So where do you have power? Do you have power on the fuse? If not, then your B+ feed to the fuse box may be the issue. I just am not sure where you are testing when you say the test light shows no power. Do you have a volt meter? If so, put the black lead on ground and then tell me what the meter says on both sides of the fuse and then what you have on the gray wire coming out of the fuse block.

Don't have volt meter just test light.

With the alligator clip hooked to ground, do you have power on either side of the fuse? The fuse should be hot on both side all the time then when the relay is energized you should have power on the grey wire. When you said you had no power, where were you measuring?
