What is the Fuel Tank Capacity?

115,000 MILES • 2.2L • V8 • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

The car listed above is the Signature Series. Specs say fuel tank capacity is 19 gals. But when I fill the tank from empty, it only takes in 15 gals. Why?

The fuel tank capacity of a 1999 Lincoln Town Car is approximately 20.0 gallons. It sounds like you have a problem with the filler neck vent which is external to the filler.
