Fuel tank and loss of power

I bought a fuel system cleaner car seemed to be losing power while driving on the highway, but only sometimes. So when I pumped gas I noticed the pump stopped by itself. Turned the car on and the tank was not full. What can the issue be?
Could it be because of the flow master and straight pipe that I had installed?
