Having trouble putting the fuel tank filler hose back in/on

Hi, have a quick question. I have the truck listed above XL model. I dropped the rear tank to rebuild the fuel pump all fixed. My question is, I'm having a lot of trouble trying to put the fuel filler hose back in/on, I have no idea. I tried for hours to figure it out. I'm so unsure I'm honestly stumped thought maybe I ask here you guys are usually great with any help, advice, or tips. Thanks, take care.
