My car stalls mostly when cold. Then while driving it, sputtered and acted like it was out of fuel eventually shutting off in my driveway. Thought i'd try replacing the fuel filter first then give it a tune up. Can't find where the filter is. Do I need to remove the gas tank to replace the filter?

Hi,

The fuel filter on this vehicle is located on the top of the fuel tank and does require the removal of the tank. Additionally, the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator are one unit.

If you look below, first I provided the directions for draining and removing the tank. After that, I included the directions for the filter/regulator replacement.

Take a look through the directions and let me know if you have questions or need help with anything. Also, just a tip. You don't need to remove the fuel module/pump to replace the filter. See directions.

Here is a link you may find helpful when doing the tune-up. I figured I would add it for you.

Take care and let me know how things work out for you or if you have other questions.
