Fuel rail leak?

I have a fuel rail that has rubber section in back by firewall it has a pin hole, can it be repaired without replacing?

I have seen people try to cut out the hose and replace it with some success but since it deals with fuel i would replace it with a new unit. here are the instructions on how to do the job in the images below.
