My fuel pump won't work after I accidentally shorted out something (i heard it). I checked the fuses and all of them were fine. I even switched around the ones that were the same. The problem didn't change.

last thing I tried was to short the fuel pump fuse itself with a cable and the car started right up but dies after a couple of seconds.

what can be causing my problem?

Hi:

If you were able to jump the fuse and the car started, it sounds like the problem may be at the fuse itself. Did you inspect the connector pins in the fuse box? If not, make sure they are not pushed in or damaged.

Also, I need to know where you shorted something. What were you working on when it happened?

I attached a pic below showing the pump relay and one of the power supplies. Is that the fuse you jumped?

Let me know.

Joe
