I am trying to change my vehicle's fuel pump?

I am trying to change my vehicle's fuel pump from a 1995 Dodge Dakota fuel pump and it's a 6 prong adapter going to a 5 prong adapter. Would it work ?

No, it will not work. You need the correct fuel pump that will attach correctly. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens...................................................................................
