Fuel pump not working

About two weeks ago my vehicle shut off driving down the road. Now it cranks but will not start. I have verified no fuses are blown. I have verified battery power coming from the fuel pump relay. I have also verified power at the connector to the fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump and still does not turn on.

Good evening.

If you have power to the dark blue/orange wire to the pump module, then check the ground. If you have a bad ground, the pump will not run.

If that is good, then the only thing left is the fuel pump.

I also attached the location of the ground connection under the hood.

When the car sits for any length of time, over night or even 30 minutes, not necessarily "cold" - for the first quarter mile the car shakes violently when accelerating - after this initial distance it appears to be fine. I have had all of the tune up issues done, plugs points wires etc and my fuel is good. Could this be a bad fuel pump with intermittent problems? The cars computer does not talk that of the service tech so he has not found the issue.

Without the check engine light, it makes it difficult. It could be many things. Does it seem to idle normally when it is first started? Any smoke from the exhaust (blue, black, white.)? Has the coolant temp sensor been checked?

I think it idles a little rough. No smoke of any kind. Not sure about the temp sensor being checked but do not remember ever doing anything with it when I replaced the radiator about a year ago.

I need you to check a couple things for me. First, check to make sure there are no loose intake manifold bolts. These bolts are common for coming loose and causing vacuum problems. Also, check to see if the EGR valve holds vacuum.

One other thought, check to make sure the fuel pump pressure is within the manufacturer's specs before starting the engine.
