My fuel pump went out and my friend went to O'Reilly's and he gave them my trucks info and they gave them the part it says it's an exact fit. We brought it back and was pulling it out without dropping the fuel tank and realized it doesn't look quite the same would it still work if it says it's an exact fit?

It looks like there are different pumps for the 2 door and the 4-door version of your truck.
F67Z9H307AC Fits the 2 door F67Z9H307BB fits the 4-door.
Try crossing those on Oreilly's site to the part you have to see if you have the correct one.
