Is it possible to take a hot wire ran directly from my battery to my fuel pump?

It is possible to run wires directly form the battery to the fuel pump and have a manual switch. And yes, the vehicle will run given there is no other issues. However, I would suggest against it, as it is not a good long term solution.

Can you tell me what issues you are having with the fuel pump?
Is it not getting power?

No, the fuel pump isn't getting power. Could it be the ignition switch causing it not to get the power because I put a new ignition switch in it, and it started not getting power to the fuel pump.

If it started this issue after the ignition switch replacement, then it is likely the issue is with the switch. Could have a shorted pin or not getting proper connection.

Also have you checked the fuel pump relay?
It is in the under-hood fuse box.

Hi folks. SQM is right about running a hot wire being dangerous. That can lead to a serious fire hazard and liability issues. Might I suggest considering whether the ignition switch hasn't been learned or programmed, and the system is in theft mode? That shuts down a number of systems including the fuel pump. Hot-wiring one circuit isn't going to get the others up and running. If you can hear the hum of the fuel pump for one or two seconds right after turning on the ignition switch, that proves the entire pump circuit is okay and the Engine Computer has control of it. That makes the fuel pump a valuable observation or clue, but not the suspect circuit.
