Someone backed into me and now my car will not start. Will crank over. Where is the fuel pump reset switch located?

Good afternoon,

There is no reset for the fuel pump. That was for Ford vehicles only.

What is your exact issue so we can help?

Hi Roy. Where I was parked, someone backed into me smashing the grille, denting the hood and pushing back the radiator. I managed to open the hood. I don't see any severe damage, just cosmetics. The engine will turn over as normal, but will not start.

Okay, you need to test for fuel and spark.

When you crank the engine does the tachometer move up a little?

Do you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key to on?

Did an airbag deploy?

Hello Again Roy,

I never noticed the tachometer move while starting the car. No, I can barely hear the fuel pump. No, the airbags did not deploy.

Okay, you will need to test for fuel pressure from the pump.

Do you have any starter fluid or carb cleaner? If you do, spray some into the air filter and see if it starts and stalls.

Hello Roy,

I used starter fluid sprayed into the throttle body and car fire right up. It wouldn't stay running. I checked all the fuses and found a 10A fuse dead. It was for the injectors. I replaced the fuse and started the car. It fired right up and remained running. Thank you for your time and help.
