Fuel pump relay testing

Hello,

If you heard a click when it was supposed to come on it is working correctly. You should only here one click. I have included in the diagrams below a diagram of a relay. Pull it up. A relay is simply a switch, like a light switch in your house. Here's how it works.When electricity is supplied to the coil side, in this case from the ignition switch, the coil (an electromagnet) is energized. When the electromagnet (coil) is energized it pulls the switch closed, completing the circuit. So look at it like the electromagnet (coil) is you, turning on the light switch in your house. I hope I made sense. Let us know if I didn't, and I will try again.

I only heard one click from the relay itself when the car was being cranked. this is the picture of the relay i have.
