Fuel pump problem

I have installed a rectangular aluminum tank in my truck listed above and in the last two months have burned out three fuel pumps. Could it be air in the inlet lines?

Hello,

Air will not cause it unless run dry for long periods of time. What brand pump are you using? Motorcraft? Also a clogged fuel filter will cause this as well. Here are guides to help walk you through the filter replacement. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find.
