After releasing fuel pressure from engine fuel rail and proceeded to remove fuel line from fuel pump, but was still pressurized and pushed out a lot of fuel. Should this have happend or is there a problem preventing the depressurizing of the fuel line?

Are you sure you didn't turn the key back on again for some reason? There shouldn't have been any pressure there.

Disconnected battery before starting project. Could a plugged fuel filter or line cause this. Am changing fuel pump because of low pressure. Could be because of problem in fuel pump.
