Fuel pump swap?

1998 DODGE DAKOTA
210,000 MILES • 5.2L • V8 • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

Hi, I need to know if the fuel pump from a 2001 Dodge 1500 will work in a 1998 Dodge Dakota. Both pumps are in tank and both trucks are v8s.

No. They have different sized fuel tanks, and the housings are not the same either. The other thing is to be sure which tank your truck has, they came with 15 and 22 gallon tanks.
