The fuel pump needs to be replaced on a 2000 Monaco on a Ford chassis. I have two choices: 1) empty 75 gallons of fuel and drop the tank (the most laborious and costly) or 2) cut an access opening directly above the pump location (quickest and simplest). Is there another option? How would you proceed ? Thanks. -Tony

Tony,
There is no other way. I have to be honest, I worry when access ports are cut because I've seen too many people cut through wiring and the tank itself. My suggestion would be to drain the tank and remove it for repairs.
