After my engine repair they said that my fuel pump needs to be replaced when it was working perfectly before my engine repair?

I brought my car to get my engine replaced, and now after my engine repair they’re saying that my fuel pump needs to be replaced when it was working perfectly before my engine repair. They also never told me anything about the fuel pump before replacing my engine. Did the fuel pump already go or are they trying to make money off of me because the engine was covered from warranty?

Hi,

That's a hard question to answer. Was the original engine still running before it was replaced? Also, what did they tell you was wrong with the pump? For example, it doesn't work at all, or it is not providing enough pressure to properly run the engine?

Let me know how they are justifying the need for replacement and any other information that may be helpful.

Take care,

Joe
