Fuel Pump

The car died on the way home, I checked fuel pressure; None. I pulled the back seat, and found the fuel pump. But, how do you get it out? It looks like it has a metal ring around it, but no way to loosen it.

There is a special tool to unscrew the retaining ring. If you chose to use anything make sure it is brass or a non conductive material so not to cause a spark. You have to remove most of the stuff including scuff plate etc. You may need a special tool to unhook the fuel line as well. See picture. They also state to ground the vehicle to the ground while doing this. Because of the tools required you may look into having it done at a garage.
